In August 2022, the Inflation Reduction Act was signed into law, making the 30% solar tax credit retroactive to all 2022 installations and extending the 30% rate through 2032. The 30% solar tax credit can also be applied to a battery installation if it's 100% filled with solar energy. Or, if you want to install energy storage, there's a stand-alone tax credit for systems of at least 5kWh of storage.
